Teens' Sunday Cooking Club

Join me as a founding member of the Claire Tansey's Kitchen Teens' Sunday Cooking Club!

Imagine a world where every teenager could cook incredibly delicious, nourishing meals for themselves and their families! 

What a wonderful gift that would be to them, to their families and to the world.

After teaching hundreds of young people in my Spring and Summer camps the most common request I get from parents is for more classes and a way to keep the momentum up across the year. 

And so...I invite your tweens and teens to a culinary experience with me as a founding member. Over the nine months we will further develop their skills and love for food (AND help share parents' load of preparing delicious meals at home).

Here's the proposed line up for the Club:

Level Up Lunch (Oct 20th, 2024, 2 - 4 pm EST)
Why stop at dinner when your t(w)een can learn to make their own delicious, satisfying, healthy, interesting cool lunch every day ...and never complain or get bored. In just one Sunday afternoon, your t(w)een will learn three foundational lunch "formulas" that they can endlessly recreate, customize and make by themselves.

Snack Attack (Nov 10th, 2024, 2- 4 pm EST)
All snacks, all the time. These recipes will get you through all kinds of movie marathons, sleepovers, pool parties and hangry afternoons. 

Fast Track Culinary School: Teen Chefs (Jan 26, 2025, 2 - 4pm EST)
Learn every key lesson from cooking school without leaving your house! Master essential knife skills, correct techniques for faster cooking and better flavour, how to use more and waste less, perfect the timing of any meal and the basics of beautiful plating.

Host Your First Dinner Party (April 6, 2025, 2 - 4pm EST)
Sunday night dinner is the perfect way to cap off the weekend with joyful energy and positivity. In this session, your t(w)een will cook with me (on zoom) to prep an uncomplicated Sunday dinner party then they get to entertain your friends and family like a culinary hero (double fun)!

All workshops are live classes (with replays available) where your t(w)een will cook with me (on zoom). The order of the workshops is designed to build skills, have fun and offer the most help to busy families on the go! These are suitable for any 11+ year old who has graduated from one of my Camps (or who already feels comfortable and kinda confident in the kitchen) or for anyone 14+.

Join me for a fun, cozy afternoon of baking. These timeless recipes are family favourites and everything you want the holidays to taste like. Designed to be led by the teens in your house, but kids and adults of all ages are welcome to join.
