We will also go into detail about safe freezing practices, best containers for freezing, keeping track of your (now amazingly-stocked) freezer plus how to thaw, heat and serve the dishes.

Summer 2025 Menu

Creamy Kale-Walnut Superfood Sauce
 Part pesto, part dip, part salad dressing and part pasta sauce, this sauce is all delicious and nutritious. We’re going to transform tough kale into silky creminess and add all kinds of good and good-for-you ingredients including walnuts and tofu. The end result is a beautiful emerald-green puree that you’ll be happy to use all summer long on….pastas, dips, salads and more. 

Crunchy Salad Nuts & Seeds 
I’m always looking to zhuzh up my summer salads, and this blend of crispy-crunchy spiced nuts and seeds is high in fibre and addictively delicious. The recipe is based on one of our long-time FTYFS community’s faves– Crunchy Party Nuts–but with less sugar, more spices and added seeds for the good of our microbiomes. 

Shoyu Eggs 
Lightly pickled, salty and sweet, these eggs are one of my all-time favourite high-protein snacks and salad additions. We’re making these for me! 

Chicken Burgers Three Ways 
 I used to hate chicken burgers because they were tasteless and dry. Two secret ingredients later, they’re my favourite way to eat chicken in the summer. I’ve got three different ways to season them, you can choose to make one, two or all three (Teriyaki, Onion-Thyme, Tomato- Parmesan)

Naked Burgers 
“The best burger I’ve ever had,” according to countless tasters. Find out why naked burgers are the juiciest and most delicious. Sure, we’re making two types of burgers in this class, but it’s summer! Why not? Stock the freezer with ready-to-grill patties so you can always have a delicious homemade dinner without any effort.
